Day 1 (January 28 & 29) – Hand out Tool Kit Resource Page. Assign TK 1-13
Day 2 (February 1 & 2) – Do TK 15, 16, 25 & 26 with the class to begin the period. Assign TK 14-24
Day 4 (February 3 & 4) – CG Q & A. Assign CG Review Team Activity, finish CG assignments
Day 5 (February 5 & 8) Have students try TK37 to begin class, then do TK38 (and possibly 39) together. Then complete the CG Team Test. Assign TK 25-42
Day 6 (February 9 & 10) – Ask each team to try and write a flowchart proof for TK49. Have each team become an expert on ONE exponent rule, and have them do 2 or 3 examples at the board to show the class how to do ‘their’ exponent rule. Help them through TK55. Then do CG DSPA. Assign TK 43-61
Day 7 (February 11 & 12) – Go through TK62 at the board with the entire class, and have the teams attempt TK63, then go over it. Assign TK 62-86
Day 8 (February 15 & 16) – Maybe begin class with a counterexample problem such as, “All boys are taller than girls.” Do TK 87 with them, and then ask for a volunteer to try TK 88 at the board (with your help). Assign TK 87-110
Day 9 (February 17 & 18) – Assign TK 111-122 and Review
Day 7 (February 19 & 22) – Assign TK Team Test and start next chapter.
***Note to Students: All problems involving exponents will be graded on accuracy…this is a very important concept you should understand before enrolling in Algebra 2. ***
